Steph Koenig

Service Designer

Steph is always hungry: her appetite is constantly growing for fresh creative pursuits, tasty challenges, and really anything edible. For the past six years, she has lived and learned in on the unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. She is a co-founder of a workers co-op called Neighbour Lab, a design studio that explores resilience and emergency preparedness through public spaces. On any given day she can be found prototyping new ways of crossing lines of difference with her fellow Neighbourhood Organizers, sketching out her latest ideas for Neighbour Hubs, or riding an adult tricycle.

Fun Facts: Steph holds an Industrial Design degree. In her years of undergrad, she spent time studying at three different universities; Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (Halifax), Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd (Germany), Emily Carr University of Art and Design (Vancouver).
