Lauren Irvine
Youth Co-Researcher
Lauren was first introduced to the world of advocacy work through her own experiences in the family legal system. She has used her voice to help represent other youth in projects and research studies that pertain to child rights, in the hopes of noticing the missed opportunities that adults often overlook. Lauren tries to not only promote change, but to actively induce it. It is her belief that effective activism is done by organizations that use their power to elevate a marginalized voice, rather than introducing their own to the discussion. It was for that reason, that she was overjoyed to join InWithForward in 2020 as a Youth Co-Researcher. She looks forward to assisting the organization in further projects. Lauren will begin a Bachelor’s Degree in History at King’s College London in the autumn of 2021.
Fun Fact: She loves to read, and has even tried writing her own books!
