Interaction Design meets Social Science

interactive talk

It’s not always pretty. It is always surprising. That’s the take away from 12+ years of applying human centered design to real and messy social contexts.

Suite 400, 455 Granville Street, Vancouver

For the past 12 years, InWithForward has worked alongside young people in care, families in crisis, women fleeing domestic violence, lonely seniors, street-involved adults, and folks with developmental disabilities to co-design new kinds of social services, networks, and platforms.

Come meet Dr. Sarah Schulman (founding partner) and Lisa Joy Trick (interaction designer) as they share case studies from their work abroad and here in Vancouver. Learn about how InWithForward weaves together service design, interaction design, anthropology, social psychology, and transformative leadership. Hear about the limits of design. And find out how you can get involved locally.
