We couldn't make it to Toronto's Neighborhood Centres retreat, so we filmed this message:
For us, Grounded Change starts by naming a place, a group of people experiencing a problem, and a set of partner organizations. We think that the best partners are local neighborhood centres and service delivery agencies who feel the pain, and are both open to and critical of new approaches.
At least that’s been our experience in Toronto – thanks to Maureen Fair at West Neighbourhood House, who was the campion behind our Starter Project with street-involved adults living in the downtown west-side.
We can’t wait to get back on-the-ground there, and continue building partnerships with many more of Toronto’s Neighborhood Centres.
